Horned Toad Beard Co. is an American beard product company from Lubbock, Texas. The company offers a pretty nice range of beard oil and beard balm for all tastes.

Rawhide – Badassness at its Best
The Rawhide beard oil scent smells exactly like a brand new leather jacket. This is the only aroma I noticed in this beard oil scent and I think it’s just fine this way. Leather is a very strong scent, and a badass one, and for that reason, I think it’s better off left alone than adding other badass aromas and make it an over the top beard oil scent.
This beard oil may not be for everyone, but for those who like the smell of leather, this could be your favorite one. It’s very manly and smells for quite some time after application. I think this is a nice beard oil scent idea. You can use this on many occasions, although some people may not like the strength of the leather aroma.
As for the Rawhide beard balm, it obviously has a leather scent as well, but a slightly different one. The beard balm represents a great addition to the Rawhide beard oil by giving the leather scent a subtle smokey twist. Honestly, I think the Rawhide beard oil and beard balm combo is the best leather-scented beard products I have used.
Bourbon Pecan – Pie and Whiskey
The Bourbon Pecan beard oil scent offers a pretty cool blend of pecan pie and aged whiskey. This beard oil is very well-balanced and smells awesome. Surprisingly, this beard oil scent isn’t too sweet and doesn’t smell alcohol at all. The Bourbon Pecan scent is a unique one. It’s more versatile than the Rawhide one and more accessible as well. Unlike the Rawhide scent, this one feels more like cologne and is less likely to have people around you wonder whose leather jacket smells that much 🙂
As for the Bourbon Pecan beard balm, it smells exactly like the beard oil of the same scent. As a result, using the combo helps enhance the Bourbon Pecan scent by adding more of this aroma to your beard.
Feeling on the Beard and Skin
The beard oil is on the thick side. That’s always a good thing for hair control and shaping. It’s also usually a sign of carrier oil quality. It applies pretty well on the beard and unlike some thicker beard oils on the market, Horned Toad’s don’t feel greasy.
As for the beard balm, it could be slightly softer in order to make it easier to use, but nonetheless, this is a terrific product. Both scents reviewed in this article help enhance the beard oil of the same scent and help you make bad beard days better. Control is great and the shiny look it provides is just fine.
Here’s the list of ingredients for Horned Toad’s beard oils:
Jojoba oil, almond oil, grape seed oil, shea butter.
As for the beard balm, it contains organic bees wax, among other undisclosed ingredients.
Horned Toad Beard Co. offers high quality beard oils with well-crafted scents. The Rawhide beard oil smells like brand new fresh leather whereas the Bourbon Pecan beard balm has a unique scent of pecan pie and aged whiskey, with the sugar and alcohol aromas.
Their beard balms are made with organic bees wax and offers a good complement when used with the beard oil of the same scent. Go for the combo without hesitation if you wish to save a few bucks.
