Beards & Fades Beard Oil Co. is an American beard product company from Colorado. The company offers a wide range of beard products including beard oil, beard butter, beard balm, beard / body wash, mustache wax, accessories and apparel.
I will write a two-part series for Beards & Fades Beard Oil Co.. In this article, I will review their Classic Man and Woodsman beard oil and beard butter. In the second part, I will review one of their beard / body wash, a beard balm, a mustache wax and two beard accessories (a beard brush and a wooden beard comb).

Classic Man Beard Oil
The Classic Man beard oil has a unique woodsy scent that smells surprisingly great. The company describes the actual scent as “Sweet Cedar”. I’m pretty sure Beards & Fades Beard Oil Co. put secret aromas in it as I found the scent more complex than that. I’m not usually a huge fan of cedar beard oil scents, but I’ll admit I really like this one. Besides well-balanced cedar notes, the blend appears to contain citrus (lime perhaps) and something mildly sweet I can’t identify.
This beard oil rocks big time. I like the mix of woodsy, citrusy and sweet aromas. I really like the way the company managed to create such a nice and versatile scent rather than using a rough cedar scent, which gets tiring quickly in my opinion.
Woodman Beard Oil
The Woodsman beard oil is for woodsy beard oil lovers. Unlike the Classic Man scent, you get a conifer aroma alone. No bells and whistles, just conifer. I think the blend is well-balanced although it remains quite woodsy. As a not-that-big-of-a-fan-of-woodsy-scents beardsman, I’m not driven towards this kind of beard oil scent, but I’ll admit the Woodsman scent smells good, partly because the company didn’t overdo it.
If you’re into woodsy beard oil, this one is a terrific choice. It doesn’t smell like an actual forest and doesn’t smell like a rearview mirror car freshness either. The conifer notes are just fine.
Feeling on Beard and Skin
Beards & Fades Beard Oil Co.’s beard oil has great texture and provides above-average control, thanks to the use of Castor Oil. This carrier oil is also known to help beard growth.
The beard oil feels great on the skin, helps reduce itching and gives a slick look to your beard.

Classic Man and Woodsman Beard Butter
The Classic Man and Woodsman beard butter from Beards & Fades Beard Oil Co. smell just about the same as their beard oil counterpart. Scent-wise, I have nothing to add, besides the fact that they smell slightly stronger than the beard oil of the same scent, thus enhancing the scent when both products are used together.
The product quality and effectiveness of this beard butter is amazing. Beard butter is a different animal than beard balm and gives different results. Beards & Fades Beard Oil Co.’s beard butter are considered “light hold”, but based on my experience, I was shocked at how good of a job it does at making my beard look better than usual. Beard butter is sloppier and greasier, but way easier to apply. It greases my beard in a crazy way, and for that specific reason, I noticed that my beard looks better with this beard butter than typical beard balm. My beard tends to be lightly wavy, and this beard butter definitely helps me get a straighter beard.
The only negative comment I have about this beard butter is the tin. It’s really a pain to open as it has no screw cap. Nevertheless, the product quality makes me forget this irritant.
