6IXMAN is a Canadian company based in Toronto, Ontario. There are several great companies in Canada that provide awesome beard grooming products, and being Canadian myself, I’m very proud of that. 6IXMAN is one of those great companies.
In this article, I will review 6IXMAN’s beard bath, which is a liquid 2-in-1 beard shampoo / beard conditioner.
2-in-1 Formulas are Always Convenient
Just like hair shampoo, 2-in-1 formulas are a time-saver when it comes to washing and conditioning your beard. Instead of having to apply and rinse two products, 2-in-1 formulas make you skip one step.
6IXMAN’s beard bath makes no exception. The product washes your beard and conditions it at the same time, and does a pretty decent job in this area. I will admit that I’m usually not a big fan of 2-in-1 shampoos in general, but for beard washing, 6IXMAN’s beard bath is very convenient and helps decrease the time a bearded man spends in the shower. The company has created an efficient product when it comes to cleansing and conditioning both the beard and the skin.
Smells Like Man
6IXMAN’s beard bath doesn’t smell like fruit, plants, wood or anything funky. The company describes the beard bath’s scent as “aromatherapy scent of Oceanic Seaweed and Rosewater”. Please allow me to translate this for the average beardsman : This product smells like the average men’s hair shampoo, with a touch of the average men’s cologne. This is a very classic urban scent, and remains a must-have if you’ve grown tired of the funkiness of wooden and fruity beard shampoos, and beard products in general.
Above-Average Beard Softness
The fact that 6IXMAN’s beard bath contains both shampoo and conditioner helps provide tremendous beard softness. Most beard shampoos tend to leave the beard rather dry, which is the main reason why a beard conditioner is strongly recommended after using a beard shampoo. What’s great with 6IXMAN’s beard bath is not only the time saved, but the terrific beard softness it provides.
Free of Harmful Chemicals
6IXMAN’s beard bath is free of Mineral Oil, Silicone, Sulfate, Phosphate, Paraben and Colorants. The company prides itself in offering a beard wash free of these chemicals, which are often found in many beard shampoos and beard conditioners on the market.
Should you Use This Product on all Occasions?
Although 6IXMAN’s beard bath is a great all-around beard wash, I wouldn’t use this product solely for washing and conditioning my beard.
As I mentioned earlier, I’m not a fan of 2-in-1 shampoos in general, simply because I think their convenience comes at the expense of using one half of a shampoo and one half of a conditioner. Using a beard shampoo and a beard conditioner thereafter provide optimal results, but takes more time. For very busy men, 6IXMAN’s beard bath can be a great beard wash to use a few times a week.
However, I found out that 6IXMAN’s beard bath had a hard time cleansing my beard when I had very strong wood-scented beard oil and/or beard balm on it. It actually cleansed well, but some of the wood smell tends to remain on my beard after using this beard shampoo. This situation doesn’t occur when I use strong beard soaps like Grandpa’s Pine Tar Soap, for instance. Nonetheless, when I use milder beard oils and balms, 6IXMAN’s beard bath cleanses pretty well.
6IXMAN’s beard bath is a very convenient liquid 2-in-1 beard shampoo and conditioner. The product has a classic man / cologne-like scent that is found in several men’s hair shampoos. This 2-in-1 provides above-average beard softness and helps skip one step when washing your beard in the shower. The product is free of many chemicals found in several beard shampoos and beard conditioners on the market. This beard bath cleanses pretty well if you use milder beard oils and balms. However, cleansing wood scents can be more difficult and may require a strong beard soap.

EDIT (2017-07-27) : After reading this article, someone from 6IXMAN pointed out the fact that their 2-in-1 formula isn’t beard shampoo + beard conditioner, but beard wash + face wash. I had taken the conditioning info on the product description on their website, and actually felt a conditioning effect though. Just wanted to add this info I received from the company itself.
